 how can I conquer milk cravings???

I am not sure if I am posting in the correct place for this;

Anyway, I know that i have posted a similar subject a while back but thought I would try again since theire may be some new members and/or added insight to my dilemma (sort of speak).

I have been a vegan with the exception being occasional dairy products obtained through freegan sources for some time now (if that is at all possible to still be called a vegan).

My problem is that I have been struggling with very strong cravings for cows milk. I curb my cravings to a certain extent through drinking soy milk. I also sometimes just eat a little cheese that I may obtain through freegan means and this kind of helps in a way too.

There are times however, when it seems just so overwhelming.

I was just wondering if anybody has any advice on what I can do to curb the cravings that I have?

Even though it may go against the AR principles to a certain extent, can anybody think of a way that I can get cows milk where it will not add to the supply and demand of the dairy industry??

I think if I at least had it once in a while it may do wonders in helping my cravings. It also might be a psychological thing as well....as you always crave what you can not have.

Any suggestions or advice on this would be greatly appreciated. Very Happy
Thanks in advance.

Just think of the poor cows, having their babies taken away from them.
I'll always remember a cow on a farm next door to us in Wales, who had her calf taken away. She cried continuously for many days and nights. That memory keeps me on the 'straight and narrow.'

As the Wise Man of Oz said, just think of the cows and calves. Whenever you feel that the desire for milk is overwhelming, think about the inconsolable grief that they feel. In time, your cravings will weaken, but if you keep feeding the flame it will never die down. You can do it!

Good luck.

I had a friend who used to drink breast milk. She said because it was natural and the babies were still with their mothers is was perfectly alright.

If the provider of the breast milk said it was OK, then I see nothing ethically wrong.
