Fruitarianism vs Veganism
Fruitarianism can be a possible step after veganism, but they are still two seperate ideas and they aren't a folow-up on the other.
Veganism is mostly a philosophy of moral, which when put into practice,
affects our diets and lifestyles profoundly.. Fruitarianism is more
a philosophy of diet, which when put into practice, affects our
morals and lifestyle profoundly.
But also it can be said that fruitarianism is the most cruelty free
diet one can follow. As fruitarians only eat the part of the plant
that needs to be dropped and that doesn't kill the plant when removed.
You can even do the parent plant a favor as by eating the fruit
you carrie the seeds away from the parent plant and drop them with
a coat of fertilizer.
An other argument for this is that (organic or biologically cultivated)
fruit harvesting is the least agressive for the 'wild' live.
However Fruitarianism is still only a diet and not a holistic doctrine in and of itself. For instance, a person who is only a fruitarian might engage in all sorts of negative and destructive life practices.
