How does a construction contractor from a tough Brooklyn neighborhood become an impassioned animal advocate? The Witness, a Tribe of Heart documentary.

A Tribe of Heart Documentary

The Witness shows the inspiring and life-affirming story of Eddie Lama, a tough construction contractor from Brooklyn whose life went from despair and hopelessness to compassion and service after a chance encounter with a kitten.

Part biography, part advocacy piece, the 45 minute film seeks to put a down-to-earth face on a philosophy that is too often portrayed in the media as the domain of extremists and ideologues.

Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist of the Los Angeles Times, Howard Rosenberg, said: "The Witness is one man's truth that cries out for mass exposure"
