Time to Unlearn
Every day we hear of life and death decisions made by our species which effect the lives of billions of other animals.
How arrogant and misguided we
human animals are
that we not only believe that we
own this planet
but we own every other animal
who lives and breathes.
We have created a terrible imbalance
in the natural world
and sadly nonhumans pay for our
greed each day.
The truth is our species
is the "pest" on this planet
and the sooner we realise this fact,
the faster we can try to reverse this ever
increasing disaster which is unfolding.
We are now in overshoot and
collapse as a species.
We have become the nightmare
and the executioner of billions
of other animals
We have the arrogance to kill
other animals when we find them
"inconvenient"
or we torture and kill them
for profit and pleasure.
The truth we deny is that using
nonhumans is morally unjustifiable
Sadly we are killing many nonhumans
either directly or indirectly
with our destructive and violent
pathology.
If we truly want peace ---which
sometimes one could seriously doubt ---
we need to stop using nonhuman
animals for our pleasure
If we want peace,
we need to create a vision of
how we can co-exist peacefully;
we need to cease using non-human
sentient beings as property.
Many of our fundamental problems
could be addressed
if we took one fundamental
step to peace
and that step is to go vegan
and end the last great slavery.
Furthermore, we need to keep
our own breeding in check
and stop breeding as if the planet
has infinite space and infinite resources.
Our path to peace will commence
when we wake from our
speciesist supremacist delusion
and realise we are all interconnected
and realise we do not
own the planet
or any other species who dwells on it.
Speciesism is learned.
Time to unlearn it.
The Earth was recently speaking
with a similar planet in another galaxy.
The other planet said, "How are
you doing?"
Earth said, "I'm doing okay, except
I have a very bad case of
Homo sapiens."
The other planet said,
"Oh, I had that about 200 million
years ago.
Don't worry, it'll pass quickly."

Go vegan. It's easy. It's better for you, for the planet, and most importantly, it's the morally right thing to do.
